Business Analyst - On Site/Hybrid

AGS / GDL · I · FULL TIME

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive the discovery, definition, and delivery of high-impact business and technology initiatives. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will partner with product, engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders to translate business goals into clear requirements, validated solutions, and measurable outcomes. You will lead end-to-end requirements work, including stakeholder interviews, process modeling, data analysis, user-story authoring, and acceptance criteria definition. This role is well suited to a structured, analytically rigorous professional who is fluent in both Agile and traditional analysis practices and who can move comfortably between strategy and detail. Success in this role means well-scoped initiatives, fewer change orders, and solutions that move the business metrics they were designed to move.

Key Responsibilities

Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements across cross-functional initiatives.

Lead stakeholder workshops, interviews, and design sessions to align on objectives, scope, and success criteria.

Build current-state and future-state process models, data flows, and use-case diagrams using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation), UML (Unified Modeling Language), or equivalent.

Translate business needs into well-formed user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed functional specifications.

Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis using SQL (Structured Query Language), Excel, and BI (Business Intelligence) tools to support decisions and validate hypotheses.

Partner with product owners and engineering teams during backlog refinement, sprint planning, and acceptance testing.

Identify, document, and track risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies across initiatives.

Define and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to measure the post-launch impact of delivered solutions.

Mentor junior analysts on requirements practice, documentation standards, and stakeholder management.

Drive continuous improvement of business analysis standards, templates, and tooling.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of business analysis experience, including at least 3 years on complex, cross-functional programs.

  • Demonstrated experience leading requirements elicitation, process modeling, and solution design end-to-end.

  • Strong proficiency with SQL for data exploration, validation, and reporting.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one BI / analytics tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for Agile delivery teams.

  • Working knowledge of API (Application Programming Interface) concepts, system integrations, and data modeling.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor messaging from working-team to executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, or IIBA-AAC certification.

Experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Oracle, or ServiceNow.
